A Year to Live Praktis

Inspired by Stephen Levine’s book, am committing to reading this book with a fellow kalyanamitra and exploring the praktises for ourselves about what or how I might change knowing I would have one more year to live!  I know, kinda intense.

Another motivation: to tricksta myself to release more, forgive more, come-full-circle, emerge and love more…awakened by the Hopi teachings about this particular time in human history, the closing of the 11th hour.  Whatever it takes to get me up the mountain of 2012 and sit me down to get in right relations with all things!

A HOPI ELDER SPEAKS

~=~ -:- ~=~ -:- ~>>-<<~>>~+~<<~>>-<<~ -:- ~=~ -:- ~=~

“You have been telling the people that this is the Eleventh Hour, now you must go back and tell the people that this is THE HOUR.

And there are things to be considered…

Where are you living?

What are you doing?

What are your relationships?

Are you in right relation?

Where is your water?

Know your garden.

It is time to speak your Truth.

Create your community.

Be good to each other.

And do not look outside yourself for the leader.

Then he clasped his hands together, smiled, and said, “This could be a good time! There is a river flowing now very fast. It is so great and swift that there are those who will be afraid. They will try to hold on to the shore. They will feel they are being torn apart and will suffer greatly. Know the river has its destination. The elders say we must let go of the shore, push off into the middle of the river, keep our eyes open, and our heads above the water. And I say, see who is in there with you and celebrate.

At this time in history, we are to take nothing personally. Least of all, ourselves. For the moment that we do, our spiritual growth and journey comes to a halt.

The time of the lone wolf is over. Gather yourselves! Banish the word struggle from your attitude and your vocabulary. All that we do now must be done in a sacred manner and in celebration.

We are the ones we’ve been waiting for.

Blog was created on the Full Moon in Capricorn, June 26th, 2010.  There was also a lunar eclipse on this day, which landed on my 9th house.

Here were some words of clarification by Astrologer/Writer Eric Francis from Planetwaves.net

Taurus (April 19- May 20)

Do you really know what you believe, and have you figured out how powerful your beliefs are? You may get the feeling that someone is flipping on your inner lights. If so, turn your awareness around and look within. In doing so, the thing you might fear is the sudden sense of your own presence in the world, which could indeed come as a shock — and that’s a great thing. Stick with the feeling and you’ll feel guided to take additional steps toward putting that awareness to use. We could describe this process as, “I actually exist, therefore, I have this potential.” Saturday’s eclipse pulls back the veil over a raft of concealed feelings, values and fears that might prevent you from accepting the truth of your existence. That particular database is the accumulated anxiety about living and reticence to change that’s been passed down through your maternal line. Give yourself permission to let go of all that fear like a puff of smoke.

And a bit more from Eric, July 2010 horoscope:

Taurus (April 19- May 20)

One thing you get to figure out this month is the extent to which your emotions and your thoughts influence one another. I guess a male chauvinist would call this ‘thinking like a woman’, but plenty of men are famous for it. Our whole society, supposedly so male-dominated, seems to be based on an exaggerated form of emoting that passes for reason. To the extent you feel trapped inside something, it may be this very phenomenon. Part of where you get lost is believing that the opposite of sensitivity is brutal rationality: the kind found in law books. Therefore, the obvious place to retreat is into the soft world of sentimentality. By the way, such a trip may be an exaggerated version of your parental drama, wherein you are caught in the middle. Both sides in this supposed struggle for reality are cartoons. There is an emotional basis for intelligence, and all learning is a process of listening, reasoning and synthesis. You’re an intuitive thinker, and you may indeed know thin gs before you know them. If you find yourself demanding proof, the wise thing to do would be to pause for a little while and wait for confirmation. You’re probably not building skyscrapers, chemical plants or nuclear bombs; you’re navigating your way through the uncertainties and creative opportunities of life. A lower standard of proof is appropriate. There’s such a thing as true enough, as long as you leave your mind open to learn more.

From wordsforthepeople.com

Taurus – “Anything you have hidden from others or from yourself may emerge at this time and demand to be dealt with,” writes Robert Hand of Uranus transiting the 12th House of the deep unconscious mind. “This is a good time for clearing up old problems that have been floating around in your unconscious mind. Now they can be handled once and for all.” The energy of the Solstice and Saturday’s lunar eclipse is centered around the axis of mind in your chart. The symbolism I see is that you are finally able to become aware of how the things you habitually (unconsciously) think and say about your life and the people in it are both rooted in and driven by your beliefs. The eclipse sends a major beam of energy to Jupiter and Uranus in your 12th House, indicating an opportunity — nay, a mandate — to become aware of how your unconscious thoughts (and not fate, or other people, or the economy, etc.) have been subtly sabotaging your ability to enjoy the kind of life you want.

Your June Horoscope by Susan Miller

Taurus Horoscope for June 2010

By Susan Miller

No doubt about it, June is showing signs of becoming a very big month for most people. On June 26 we have a major full moon lunar eclipse in Capricorn, and this one will be a strong one. Fortunately, of all the signs, you will be among the few who will be in a fairly safe position, because Capricorn is a fellow earth sign that blends beautifully with your earth sign Taurus Sun. We will get into the details of that eclipse later in your report because there is so much other news that I need to fill you in on first! Early June will be very positive and productive, so I suggest that you plan your most critical meetings and initiations for the first half of the month.

The first major event to happen in early June is the move of Jupiter out of Pisces and into Aries. For Jupiter, the planet ruling gifts, luck, and happiness, to move out of Pisces so quickly is highly unusual – Jupiter barely just arrived in that sign on January 17 of this year and now he’s out already! The Pisces among us, a very beleaguered sign, were depending on sustained help from Jupiter, and it has to be distressing to see him leave. Most of us can depend on one full year of Jupiter in our sign when he comes by once every 12 years.

You, as a Taurus, were enjoying Jupiter’s position in Pisces too, for Jupiter was filling your eleventh house of friendship, hopes, and wishes, a lovely social place in the chart. You were probably just getting into the swing of your new and revitalized social life that Jupiter was busy cranking up for you since late January. A better social life was just beginning to show signs of cracking the surface when, in a puff of smoke, Jupiter is about to leave and move on into Aries.

Not to worry, dear Taurus. You – and the Pisces – will be happy to hear that Jupiter will stay in Aries only a brief few weeks. Happily he will be coming back to Pisces on September 9, so from that date until January 22, 2011, you will be able to pick up where you left off and start to enjoy romance and a heightened social momentum again soon.

For now, Jupiter in Aries will be fantastic for being productive when alone working behind closed doors. If you have to finish a manuscript or thesis, you will have your golden opportunity to get it done and in beautiful form. This same house is one associated with strategic thinking, so you’ll be at your best with that as well now.

The twelfth house is often misunderstood, and that’s the place Jupiter will be visiting in the coming three months. The twelfth house is naturally ruled by Pisces, the most creative sign of the zodiac. Jupiter will be especially happy when touring this house, so you can expect plenty of support! (Jupiter isn’t equally comfortable in every house of the chart and finding that outcome was a shock to me when I started studying astrology!) With this placement, Jupiter will encourage your creativity on a grand scale, especially when you tinker with your craft in solitude.

Jupiter is also associated with health and healing, so should you need treatments, surgery, or a stay in the hospital, or require physical therapy or rehab for any reason, you will do well, for the doctors you consult with will be dignified specialists in their field. If you were thinking of having hypnosis to overcome smoking or to lose weight in the coming three months from June 6 to September 9 (as only two of many possible examples for hypnosis), you would be choosing an ideal time to do so.

Should you start to see many of the old mainstays of your life begin to be taken out with the tide, such as old friends, a job, certain people you hired to help you like an accountant or lawyer, don’t worry. You are now at the end of a long Jupiter cycle, and are starting to lay the groundwork for your golden era. Jupiter in your twelfth house will examine your closest association and friendships as well as your present obligations and responsibilities. If some people or elements of your life are no longer providing opportunities for growth, creativity and happiness, those will drop away.

Whatever is lost, you will gain tenfold beginning June 2011, so relax as the process takes place this summer (June 6 through September 9). For now, things are supposed to be this way. This process will start up again for five months in 2011, from January to early June. After that you’ll be ready to welcome Jupiter in Taurus, one of your most important and beneficial years of your life (June 2011 to June 2012).

This summer is remarkable in that Uranus will also be in Aries, and for Uranus it will be the first time in decades that he will be visiting that sign. The proximity of these two – Jupiter and Uranus in Aries – bodes so well for your career! Your tenth house of fame and honors is ruled by Uranus – watch your career take off like a rocket in early June!

In particular, watch Tuesday, June 8, when Jupiter and Uranus will conjoin in the entrepreneurial sign of Aries. At that time you should be quite excited about a career development that comes up. If you need a date to have an important meeting or interview, this is the day you will want to choose. It’s a day that should sparkle with good news – it’s a five-star day! Give this day a plus or minus of one day on either side.

Jupiter is associated with financial talks and if you have to settle a money matter, you should be unexpectedly pleased with how talks go. The last time Jupiter and Uranus conjoined in Aries was July 15, 1927, so few people alive today experienced this event. It will feel new and special for you. Indeed, June 8 plus or minus one day deserves five stars, for sure!

Financially, you will have an excellent chance of raising your salary. The new moon, June 12, will be your friend, for it will appear in your second house of earned income and give it a needed boost. This new moon will be in Gemini, the sign of “two.” You may be thrilled to learn that financially you are due for money coming in on two fronts! If you work in sales, marketing, PR, or write, speak, lecture, edit, do research, publish, or are in any way connected to the communications or travel industries, you will do well at this new moon.

The new moon will be friendly to Neptune, the planet of inspiration, so you may be able to sell an important creative project in the coming weeks. If you are an actor or model, audition and/or go to “look sees” (as the case may be), for you may acquire two gigs in the second half. Time your meeting as close to June 12 as possible. (Most people will be back to work on June 14, a Monday.) Remember not to have your meeting BEFORE the new moon, but shortly AFTER for best results.

Speaking of June 14, here’s another blue-ribbon day worthy of many gold stars. Venus rules Taurus, and on this day, Venus will receive shimmering beams from Uranus. Again, your luck will be on the rise when it comes to career, so this would be an ideal day to have a meeting. All surprises on this day will be good ones.

Your luck will keep on rolling, because Venus will receive blessings from generous Jupiter on Tuesday, June 15, and at the same time, Mars will be in perfect position to Pluto, always a good placement for negotiation.

With your prospects for career and money looking bright, let’s turn our attention to your home and family. This month Mars will leave Leo and move into earth sign Virgo, a headline-making shift that will take place on June 7.

Mars is just about to end an unusually long tour of Leo that started back in October 16, 2009. You may have been riveted on a real estate or family matter since late last year. If you have more to do on this matter, you will likely make the most progress while Mars is still in Leo during the first week of June, until June 6. After that Mars moves into Virgo and you won’t have the special support from Mars in your home sector that you do now. We will return to the subject of family later, so hold that thought. Your real estate matters, though, seem to be finishing up.

Socially, you may have been dismayed to learn that Jupiter is temporarily leaving your friendship, people, and events sector this month, exiting on June 6. As said, he’ll be back September 9, but in the meantime, lucky you, you will have Mars moving into your true love sector (fifth house) from June 7 to July 29, to pick up the slack.

If you are single, this is the best news ever, for Mars will help you meet new people from June 6 to July 29. Next month Saturn, the planet of the lessons we learn in life, will leave Virgo, and that will also work to open up your romantic life, too. Married Taurus will also love this influence – it’s time for a little fun!

If you are hoping for a baby, your bundle of joy may be on the way sooner than you thought. There won’t be the restrictions and obstacles that you’ve had in matters of the heart or in regard to pregnancy like you’ve had in the past two years. In all ways, things are looking up for romance, dear Taurus.

Your most romantic days: June 4, 5, 8, 10, 13, 17 and 30.

Now we come to the matter of the emotional full moon, lunar eclipse in Capricorn at 5 degrees due on June 26. This is a tough eclipse because planets in Cardinal signs (Cancer, Capricorn, Aries, and Libra) will be angry at one another. Uranus and Jupiter in Aries will be upset with Pluto and the full moon in Capricorn, and all four will be mad at the Sun and Mercury in Cancer. On top of that, none of this gang will be getting along with Saturn, only a degree and a half away from Libra, a Cardinal sign, too.

With all these energetic planets going off on tangents, and not cooperating with the others one bit, you have a mess of a situation. The Cardinal signs of Cancer, Capricorn, Aries, and Libra will feel this energy and frustration the most, especially if members of these signs were born early in their sign, in the last ten days of June, December, March, and September. You are not among those that the eclipse is highlighting, but everyone has some Cardinal in their chart, if only by house cusp.

This eclipse will fall in fellow earth sign Capricorn and light your ninth house. This house rules long distance travel and your relationships with people abroad. It also rules citizenship, the courts system, contractual matters and legal moves, certain relatives like aunts and uncles, and by nature of the fact that it opposes the third house, sisters, brothers, and cousins. This is where some problems may come up.

You might be taking an important, life-changing trip, but if not, you may be negotiating with people abroad or working together on a project. Publishing and broadcasting will come up as strongly highlighted, as will anything involving your pursuit of a university degree, whether as a graduate or undergraduate course of study.

There appear to be problems that could come up out of nowhere in one of these areas. The planets will fight fiercely with each other, and that indicates you will encounter a lack of cooperation. In your case, in-laws, siblings, cousins, aunts, and uncles – one or more of these – could become your focus at the eclipse, June 26. If it turns out to be a relative who is difficult, this person seems to be pushing your buttons only because he or she can – not because there is any reason to do so.

Some eclipses deliver their news immediately, on or within five days of the appearance of the eclipse, while others bring news one month to the day earlier or later, plus or minus four days.

If nothing comes up, then you need to wait until Saturn or Mars hits the degree of the eclipse at 4 degrees 46 minutes Capricorn. Mars will be at 4 degrees 46 minutes on December 14. Keep your eye on that date in case you don’t see any news.

A more worrisome and tension-filled day will come up earlier, on August 6, when Mars will reach a 90-degree angle to the exact degree of the eclipse by being in Libra. Early August will be a very tense time, for the planets will form a very angry Cardinal cross pattern in the sky. The stock market and world events will be rocking, so it’s a time to be conservative, choosing the safe route, and to be careful not to rush to judgment. This will be a very confusing time for everyone, for eclipses rarely reveal all their information at once, only in stages.

If you have to go to court or issue a legal document, it appears you may have to do so, but the opposition you will face will be considerable, and people will be highly emotional. And with Uranus upset too, the obstacles you encounter will be completely unexpected – even weird.

Still, as said at the start of your report, Capricorn is a sign that blends well with yours. Although you may go through an ordeal at this time, if you were born at the end of April, near April 25, you will have some special favor that may come in useful and allow you to turn events around, either now or eventually.

No matter when your birthday falls, try to keep your ears open but don’t say too much until you have had time to absorb all that surfaces. You may have to sort out many conflicting opinions at the time, and it won’t be easy. Someone seems bent on carrying on a dispute with you, and as they say in the martial arts, it is often better to let your opponent’s weight and strength work against him, if you can find a way.

With two planets in the twelfth house, a relative or friend may suddenly be in the hospital, so you may need to mobilize to help that person both in the hospital and with the paperwork and backup at home.

Think back to the last eclipse of December 31, 2009 (in some time zones that eclipse fell on January 1, 2010). What happened back then? This eclipse will be tied to that one and advance a discussion, action, or event that happened then. Also think about the solar eclipse of January 15 for clues, too. All eclipses in a family of signs are linked to one another in theme. Next month we have a solar eclipse on July 11, but that one will not be as emotional as this one – this seems to be the harder one of the two. Remember, though, that others will feel this eclipse even more than you.

To help you deal with the eclipse this month on June 26, and the one coming July 11 (a solar eclipse), please read the completely new, free article I wrote for you called, “How to Deal with Eclipses.” The URL is:

www.astrologyzone.com/eclipses/

I feel you will find it very helpful, for there are certain hallmarks to these types of astrological events that are common to all eclipses.

Your ruler, Venus, will be in Cancer, the sign of family, and with Mars leaving your fourth sector of home after eight long months, you may finally get to an answer to a long-term family or real estate situation that has plagued you. While you may have to go through something to settle details or clear the air, it seems to be worth the trouble.

With Venus standing in your communication house, you will find all the right words, and they will be a soft and soothing voice of reason within an atmosphere with nothing but a jarring cacophony of tense voices. Take the high road, no matter what comes up, and be the grown up when faced with childish responses. I feel you are on the side of the angels, dear Taurus, so no matter how long it takes, it appears you may wind up with a result that pleases you very much.

Summary

This will be an interesting month, somewhat different than you might expect. If some of what happens is not familiar, it is because planets are moving radically into new positions and bringing news and events that are completely different from what you’re used to dealing with.

The past few months seem to have been quite social for you, and in some ways, this trend will continue. The emphasis is switching away from your being with groups of friends toward a more romantic one-on-one experience with one special person. Mars will now visit the most romantic part of your chart, and will create sweet moments of levity and fun for two months, between June 7 and July 29. You have quite a summer in store! You’ve not had sexy Mars’ help in two years, so you should notice and enjoy the difference.

Meanwhile, Jupiter and Uranus have moved to the most strategic part of your chart – your twelfth house – so you may be ending one way of life and beginning the stages of a new one. This is only the fledgling inception of a very lengthy process that will begin now and continue until September 9, and then be in full force again in early 2011. You are letting go of what is no longer viable, so have no fear. You are now making way for the new. This will all be preparation for your golden epoch to begin, June 2011.

Financially, you’ll have reason for optimism. Watch for news to come to you just after the new moon, June 12. Saturn will be in hard angle, so you likely won’t get as much of a raise as you might have hoped, but you may be happy with any raise, for it will show you’re appreciated. Signing contracts would not be advised, however, as Mars and Mercury, the planet ruling agreements, won’t be friendly. This is a time to talk, to explore, but not to seal the deal – for that, wait until late July or August.

The month holds a difficult eclipse on June 26 in the part of your chart that rules legal settlements and financial discussions. If you are leaving a marriage, the question of child custody could bring on a tense debate. You may, alternatively, be trying to negotiate a business deal, with a controlling, high-level person in a foreign country (or a company headquartered there). There is alternatively a very different scenario where you’ll be concerned about (or in dispute with) a pushy, very obstinate family member or in-law.

In any case, the only way to proceed will be with a spirit of practicality. Although this will be an emotional situation, you’ll need to keep your feelings at bay to get through whatever is being asked of you and whatever you need to fix. Being practical will lead to clear thinking. You may need to fix a situation, but if so, options may be few. You may feel you are being forced, unfairly, to accept terms you don’t like.

These are the conditions surrounding your meditation, but the final outcome will rest with you. Fortunately this eclipse will be in good angle to your Sun, so you can rise to the occasion and even find ways to turn the tables in your favor. This is nobody’s favorite eclipse, but if you are determined to outwit conditions by being resourceful and ingenuous, you can, in the end, win.

If you feel any tension as a result of the eclipse, you might want read the special completely renewed and updated article I wrote for you on “How to Deal with Eclipses” at this link on Astrology Zone: www.astrologyzone.com/eclipses/

Your steady, practical no-nonsense nature will be helpful now. You, more than most, are able to separate your emotions from dealing with the objective facts. Seek expert help, such as from a lawyer, accountant, or other professional if necessary. This is one month you need not do everything alone. There are others around you who can help you, so just pick up your phone and call them.

Dates to Note:

Jupiter will move into a more contemplative part of your chart on June 6 for the balance of the summer.

You’ll feel more social in the autumn, but for now, set aside time alone and complete projects that need to be done behind closed doors. You’ll be productive.

Mars will finally leave Leo on June 7 after a long time in your home, property, and family sector. If you still need to address a situation in one of these areas, hurry and take action in June’s first week.

At the new moon, June 12, you will have an opportunity to get a raise or new job that pays more. Pluto and Saturn will be at hard angles, so you may not be able to get the amount of increase you had in mind, but you may be able to get a small raise.

A difficult lunar eclipse is heading our way June 26, and it seems that almost everyone, of every sign, will be affected. For you, this eclipse will fall in your house of agreements. Do not sign anything near this date. For best results, wait as long as you can – late August would be ideal.

Your most romantic days: June 4, 5, 8, 13, 17 and 30.

Your best day for finding love? June 10.
